Second Brain + MCP

Your Second Brain,Wired To Everything

One nested tree for tasks, notes and docs — plugged into your tools through MCP so AI agents can read, write and act on your knowledge instead of just talking about it.

Taskpend second brain with nested tasks, docs and connected MCP tools

Why it matters

A second brain is only useful if it can act

Most PKM apps store notes. Taskpend stores structure — and MCP lets agents turn that structure into work across your stack.

One tree for everything

Projects, meeting notes, research, personal errands, sprint tasks — all in the same nested outliner. Zoom into any node to make it your workspace, or step back to see the whole map.

MCP-connected tools

Connect Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, Linear, Notion, your database — any MCP server. Agents call those tools with your own credentials, so answers are grounded in real data, not guesses.

Capture → structure → execute

Dump a raw thought, paste a meeting transcript, or forward an email. AI agents nest it into the right place, create subtasks, and (with MCP) file the issue, book the meeting, or open the PR.

How it works

From scattered notes to a working second brain in 3 steps

1

1. Build the tree

Start with a Home task. Nest projects, areas of life, meeting notes and reference material underneath. Use mirrors (#channels) to make the same task appear anywhere you think about it — no duplicate copies to keep in sync.

2

2. Plug in MCP servers

Open Settings → Connectors and add MCP servers for the tools you already use — Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, Linear, Notion, Slack, or your own custom MCP server. Approve the OAuth prompt once and the agent inherits your permissions.

3

3. Let agents do the work

Ask an agent: 'Summarize this week's design reviews from Gmail into a doc under Research,' or 'Turn today's standup notes into Linear issues.' The agent uses MCP tools to read from and write to your stack, and files the result into your tree.

Stop taking notes. Start building a brain that works.

Nest your knowledge, connect your tools with MCP, and let agents turn thoughts into shipped work.

One task, many places

Mirror a task into any project and it stays in sync everywhere.

Six views, zero re-entry

Outliner, Kanban, Table, Gantt, Document and AI Execution chat — all on the same tasks.

Infinite nesting

Break work down as deep as it goes — every level stays connected.
