Zoom In. The Noise Disappears. This Is Focus Mode.
Navigate into any task branch and see only what matters right now. Everything else waits.

How it works
One task, multiple homes, multiple users
The average knowledge worker has 200-500 tasks in their task manager. Seeing all of them at once is like trying to read a book while looking at an entire library. The cognitive overhead of filtering out what's irrelevant is exhausting — and it's why people feel overwhelmed even when they have a perfectly organized system. Focus Mode solves this by letting you zoom into any branch of your task tree and see only the tasks within it. The rest of your workspace doesn't get deleted — it just waits, invisible, until you zoom back out.
Zoom Into Any Task or Branch
In Taskpend, every task can be made the root of your view. Click to navigate into a project, an epic, or any other task — and that task becomes your whole world. Its subtasks fill the screen. Everything outside that branch — other projects, personal tasks, team work — becomes invisible. One click zooms you in; one click zooms you back out.

The Cognitive Science of Focus
Research on cognitive load consistently shows that the mere presence of unrelated information in your visual field consumes working memory — even if you're not actively processing it. Seeing 200 tasks while working on 5 is measurably more exhausting than seeing only those 5. Focus Mode eliminates the visual noise that makes task management feel overwhelming.
Bookmark Your Focus Points
In Taskpend, zoomed-in views are navigable via URL — each task has its own URL. Bookmark the projects you return to daily. Open your 'Design Sprint' branch directly in the morning, then switch to your 'Personal' branch in the evening. Your browser tabs become context switches, each loading exactly the scope of work relevant to that context.
Focus Mode + Kanban: Sprint Tunnel Vision
Zoom into your current sprint, then switch to Kanban view. You see only the sprint's Kanban board — not the entire backlog, not future sprints, not other projects. This is how engineering teams maintain sprint focus without losing sight of the board. The tunnel vision is intentional and useful.

Share a Focused View With a Teammate
@mention a teammate on any task and they receive a link to that specific branch. When they open it, they see only the branch you shared — not your entire workspace. This is sharing at the right level of granularity: enough context to collaborate, no more than needed to protect focus and privacy.
